Mind Coach

How to Teach Kids and Teens to Think Positive and Feel Good

Daniel G. Amen, M.D.

Everything begins and ends in your mind. How your mind works determines how happy you are, how successful you feel and how well you interact with other people. The patterns of your mind encourage you toward greatness or they can cause you to flounder in mediocrity or worse. Learning how to focus and direct your mind is the most important ingredient of success.

The biggest obstacle to the success of any person, young or old, is the way he or she thinks. Learning how to overcome negative thought patterns will help young people over their entire lifespan.

Young people will learn . . .

  • How every thought you have affects every cell in your body
  • How your thoughts affect your mind and your body
  • How negative thoughts ruin school performance, friendships and family interactions
  • How to overcome negative thoughts to think positive and feel good

Mind Coach is a manual that will teach children and teens "thinking skills" to help them be more effective in their day-to-day lives!

General age range: 11-15

Great resource to help kids who suffer from anxiety

I am a teacher that works with students with special needs. Mind Coach is a helpful resource to give to parents whose children suffer from anxiety. Dr. Amen offers clear and use strategies to deal with ANTS (Automatic Negative Thoughts= WORRIES!). I have given many copies of this book away over the years.
