  • Introduction

    Dr. Amen goes over the symptoms of ADD and talks about how this program combats the symptoms of ADD, as well as where to get free resources and tips on treating ADD.

  • The 7 Types of ADD

    You’ll learn about each type and what treatment plan is most appropriate for that situation. The 7 Types of ADD are: Classic, Inattentive, Over-Focused, Temporal Lobe, Limbic, Ring of Fire and Anxious.

  • Journaling

    This lesson is geared toward keeping you focused on the program since distraction is a common symptom of ADD. You’ll learn how journaling will keep you moving forward by tracking your progress and helping you retain the concepts we teach over the 30 lessons.

  • Help for All Types

    In this session, you will learn about the 7 different types of ADD and the multiple combinations Dr. Amen has seen throughout his 35-year professional career as a psychiatrist.

  • Know Your Important Numbers

    Dr. Amen explains that one of the first things to know is your BMI (body mass index). He’ll also talk about the number of hours you need to sleep at night. You’ll learn that sleep is especially important for children who sleep an average of 60% less than their peers. These kids have a much higher incidence of ADD, depression and suicidal behavior.

  • Treating ADD Through Food, Part 1

    This lesson is all about food and ADD, starting with how your brain uses 25% of the calories that you consume. Of course, that means brain-healthy eating is essential for people with ADD.

  • Treating ADD Through Food, Part 2

    Part 2 of Treating ADD Through Food focuses on starting an elimination diet. Dr. Amen explains that multiple scientific studies indicate that many people who have ADD-like symptoms also have sensitivity to food.

  • Treating ADD Through Food, Part 3

    In this lesson, Dr. Amen talks about how people with ADD – who are always in a hurry – need things in their life to be really simple and fast. You’ll learn that treating ADD through food is all about GREAT TASTE, and no suffering is required!

    This lesson takes a second shot at those ANTS that steal your happiness, rob your joy and ultimately destroy your mind. The lesson is built around four critical questions.

  • Mastering Sleep

    You’ll learn that getting enough sleep – healthy sleep – is essential to treating your ADD. And you’ll learn to develop SLEEP ENVY!

  • Impulse Control

    Lesson 16 moves into the area of your impulses and how to control them to make better decisions.

  • Focus Your Attention

    In this session, Dr. Amen explains how ADD typically appears when there is low activity in the front part of the brain. This applies to all 7 types of ADD.

  • Get Curious, Not Furious

    This session tackles the reality that mistakes are present in everyone’s life and that people who have ADD just have more. Dr. Amen will explain how it is essential to realize that failure is not fatal unless you don’t learn from the experience.

  • Calming a Busy Brain

    Lesson 19 will help you calm your busy brain and learn how to feel more relaxed. Dr. Amen uses several effective techniques to transform your chaos into calm.

  • Soothing Anxiety

    Dr. Amen will teach you how to get into a relaxed diaphragmatic breathing pattern that dramatically increases your focus so you can gain control of your emotions and actions.

  • Hypnosis for ADD

    Dr. Amen will show you how hypnosis is effective when used with meditation and diaphragmatic breathing because it resets your brain if you are upset.

  • Creating Great Relationships: Parenting and Family

    Dr. Amen presents research findings that show how parenting fits into four categories – loving, hateful, firm, and permissive. He then teaches that the goal for most relationships should be to reach “firm and kind” or “loving and firm” in order to establish a sense of trust and bonding.

    Lesson 25 is all about boosting positive behavior – a complete game changer in your relationships when one or more of the people in your life have ADD

  • Practicing Smart Discipline in Relationships

    Lesson 26 focuses on discipline as a very important part of treating ADD. Dr. Amen explains that he speaks about discipline late in the course because he knows if the students absorb the earlier subjects, success will come at the end.

  • Creating Intimacy in Relationships

    You’ll learn that when one or both partners in a relationship has ADD, it is important to understand that there are multiple dynamics at play.
