I read it to the whole school!

I am a school counselor at an elementary school in NJ. I started using this book with small groups last year and it was such a success, I read it to every class this year! It\'s a great introduction to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and how what you think can change how you feel. The kids (ages 5-12) learn about 5 different kinds of Automatic Negative Thoughts (ANTs) and what to think instead to get rid of those ANTs. Students have interrupted me to say, \"THAT\'S THE ANT IN MY HEAD!!\" They really get it! And teachers keep thanking me for bringing this resource to their class. It\'s excellent! Highly recommend!!

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Winner!

What a great book for children, teens and (secret surprise) adults! I bought this as a Christmas gift for my children and searched for Bible verses to coordinate with the principles taught in the book and added those with labels on the appropriate pages. My son loves it. This is also a fun tool for groups like Bible studies when discussing negative thoughts and boundaries.

Super Hero Snout

I have this for my preschool. I use it for a child that tends to have negative thinking. I have seen him take it off the shelf and look at it several times since we read it. We also can talk about captain snout when there is a lot of negativity. Oh and he also loves superheroes so he connects to it.

This book is fabulous!

I have a 3 and 7 year old. When I first got this book, we read it every night for a week. We absolutely love the pictures and underlying message in this book. As a family health guide, I will recommend it to my clients who seem to have trouble with self love.
